Richard Machowicz, the host of The Military Channel’s Future Weapons, probably has the best job on the planet. I mean, after 10 years in the Navy SEALS he probably got bored with all the intense training and bad ass weapons right? I guess not. Now he gets to enjoy augmented civilian status as he still has access to top secret facilities and weapons technology, which he proudly displays with cold precision on his Military/Discovery Channel show Future Weapons. Basically, “Mack” is our hero here at Future Firepower. Its not like he has a show where he just narrates while soldiers shoot all the guns and show off, he actually gets to get into the tanks and drive them, pick up the brand new machine gun prototype and unload as many clips as he wants; and he does it all with perfectly honed form and skill. Probably the best moment was when Mack competed against a US soldier in a cold-bore sniper rifle competition, and Mack out shot the soldier with a perfect headshot with the 1st round. Obviously, he has extreme weapons training. It’s been a long time coming that Discovery Networks finally launched the Military Channel, and it was long enough that they finally came out with Future Weapons.
Discovery Networks has always been very respectfully patriotic, and they have also done a good job keeping up with the times by gradually increasing their military-related broadcasting. I remember as a child the best show that I could find was Wings on the regular discovery channel. I guess they could tell that I watched it all day long, and made the military channel with robust programming just for me. Now all the Military Channel needs to do is quit showing so many reruns and kick their production engine into high gear. They need to have a million different shows with a million different weapons, hell, they should just start inventing weapons. Long live the military channel, the embodiment of my inspiration for this humble website, FutureFirepower.com.
Mack is also the author of a book: Unleashing the Warrior Within, and also founder of the Bukido Institute.

Richard i luv your show, and my question is. Can u make a show or part with the B-52, beacuse i luv that plane
mack ruins the show with his action-movie behavior and actions. i want to learn about the newest weapons, not hear about the “new sherrif in town” while mack hunkers down and whispers as if hes on another top secret mission.
hello im a good fan of the show, but i always wanted to submit idea’s.i dont know if they been made or not but i will list them for you.i had dreams of submarines that launch aircrafts from under the water, another was dog tag necklaces that dont allow grenades to blow up with in certain perimeters of soldiers being in that area, another is a freeze cloud, a freeze cloud allows anything in the path of a enemy freeze also can be used for air combat devices.what is the schedule week days for the show.
hi, i just say those missles and battleships, well… it really awesome, indeed. I think i’ve rather need a look for more weapons the soldiers need. And that explosives are way to crazy.
War war and war…cant we c some beautifull pictures of future world, where we have gas emission less vehicles, all greenary, and no weapons? Just sick and tired of fighting brothers. How long are going to feed on wach other ?
do a the m-16 vs. the Ak-47
bravo!! an excellent features of deadly weapons
The Mack guy looks like a damn assholic poser
mach I am a former marine nam vet ,like what you do and bring to the show you have one of the best jobs I kown of keep up the good work semper fi I kown your a navy seal thanks george u.s.m.c.
Hi I was watching your non lethal special and thought that you could pass on an idea I had to the Beretta compony for their constant kinetic weapon system if they use a laser tape measure to judge the distance it should cut out any inevitable human error and make it faster the tack the target down.
As I watched the top ten fighter aircraft I couldn’t help but think “where is the Super Tom” the F14D? With it’s GE motors & the ONLY aircraft to deliver the “Phoenix” missle it seems to me it should have been there. NO other aircraft in the world carried such firepower & the ability to lock & shoot down eight targets at a distance of 150-200 miles. If I’m not mistaken, I believe they shot down a couple of enemy aircraft during the Gulf War. They fired their missles, headed back to the carrier & landed at about or just before “splashdown” of said aircraft. I don’t know this to be a fact, it was a rumor in some of the squadrons. If you can let me know how the Super Tom measures up and / or if the “splashdown” thing is indeed a fact, I’d like to know. From a fellow Sailor – Thank you for your time.
Respectfully, AD1 Bruce G. Owczarzak Ret.
Hey… If we ever do an AK vs M16a4 or M4… Fight fair! The AK is outdated, we should compare the Valmet rk95 vs M16a4.
So what’s the story on our boy Mack? Is he the real deal or just another dude that shaved his head and put on a pair of oakleys and was suddenly transformed to “badass” status.

Vannilaguerilla–Mack IS the real deal! Read his bio, the man was a Navy Seal.

AS A FORMER SOLDIER, I AM EAGER TO LEARN ABOUT THE NEWEST WEAPONRY SOON TO BE AVAILABLE TO OUR FORCES AND ALLIES. AND AS THESE WEAPONS BECOME STANDARD ISSUE, THEY WILL THEN BECOME INTRODUCED TO OUR POLICE DEPARTMENTS HELPING TO GIVE THEM THE ADVANTAGE THEY NEED TO COMBAT CRIMINALS AND TERRORISTS. FUTURE WEAPONS IS A GOOD SHOW AND MACK DOES A GREAT JOB SHOWING HOW THESE WEAPONS ARE USED TO SNUFF OUT THE BAD GUYS. WAY TO GO MACK! HOORAH!
Hey Mack I know im only 12 but I think your show is awsome.
And for anyone else who is or has been in the military, united states marine core, air force, navy or anything else the police, ambulence,or fire department I think your awsome.
I was watching an episode of Future Weapons about the SNIPER DETECTION SYSTEM. And I was curious why it was not armoured .Because one sniper that is a sharp shooter that if they can find one over in the sand box, could take out the S.D.S. and bug out while other snipers took pot shots at the troops. Seems like that could be a problem ! P.S. how come your show has never covered the P-90
hey kids
i want more future weapons to be made public.
i know the u.s. government has lots more puppies that it has not made public yet.
EMP? electric volt gun? paralyzer? sonic blaster?
can a 50. cal sniper rifle shoot threw the dragon skin
he got anything the best ever..
we’re here still in advance training with lame weapons everyday..
I absolutely love your show Mr. Mack and I love all the the weapons as well. I better since I am a ARMY veteran and former sniper myself. I love the long range shooting and requires great talent and a steady aim for the perfect shot. Would love to get a autographed picture of ya, that would be of great honor. Also I have built my own AR-15 semi-auto rifle from scratch (Nothing but parts) and made it a great shooting rifle with great accuracy and dependable reliability a (3500rnd. test proved that to me) and 0 malfunctions!! Just wanted to also say Thank you for your service to this great country and all other service men and ladies out there as well that are protecting us from all enemies foreign and domestic.
IT”S GREAT BRO……………………..
its te great thing is how lucky that filipino has a big weapon that can creat big damage
hey man i like your programe very much what a marvolus pograme
Mr. Mack..!
I really like your programme. Its informative.. we are getting great knowledge about future weapons. but it is beneficial for us.. that we are doing hard work for making weapons. its dangerous for all human being. why we are not make such kind of think which protect us from enemies or criminals without harming anyone…?
I am doing a report on future wepons and technology for mass war. Is Richard a good person to email for questions? please reply
If you wanna know aboou a cool future weapon check this out…
THE MAARS ROBOT
Remotely operated weapons are showing up everywhere. Israel is building an automated kill zone. An American firm, More Industries, offers a turret that can aim and fire two automatic shotguns.
Some bots have been defusing bombs for years, but none have seen combat. That’s a shame, according to Lt. Gen. Rick Lynch, who believes that 122 men could have been spared if combat bots had been working in their stead.
There was a set of armed robots sent to Iraq. They never fired a shot, however. They weren’t allowed to. No one could guarantee that the bots wouldn’t go berserk and mow down friendly troops or otherwise malfunction, even though they have lots of safeguards.
Considering how much firepower they pack, safeguards are really important. The Maars system (above) can be equipped with four grenade launchers and a machine gun that packs 400 rounds of 7.62 caliber ammunition.
But its manufacturers like to point out its less-lethal capabilities. Instead of mowing people down, it can stick to the fine print of the first law of robotics and fire tear gas canisters, smoke grenades, smoke bombs and perhaps even Taser’s upcoming 40mm people-zapper projectile. Three were deployed to Iraq last year.
