M4 – M4A1 Carbine – Modern Warfare

Filed in Rifles 33 comments

m4 carbine2If I hark back to the days of the Wild Wild West, during the heydays of American machismo otherwise known as Manifest Destiny, I can only think of the ever popular shoot out.  The quick and dead, the fast draws, the lawlessness, and the cowboys.  Don’t be misled about the speed of the draw though, the quickest isn’t always the victor, one must be on target to be left standing alive.  What a timeless lesson we’ve learned.

m4 Carbine IraqToday on the battlefield, many people are killed by rifles of various design.  Fortunately, most people are killed by the well-designed weapons employed by the US Military.  When the US Army rolled into Baghdad, the Iraqis were dumbfounded at how they lost nearly every engagement with small arms, quite frequently suffering center mass and head shot wounds.  They were not only just slow on the draw, but couldn’t hit a target either.  Instead of relying on a red dot sight and a light weight composite firearm, they used the “spray and pray” method, which usually got them killed.  Speed and Accuracy:  Introducing the M4A1 Carbine manufactured by Colt Firearms.  A Carbine is essentially the same design as a rifle, but with a shorter barrel.  The M4 is closely based on the Armalite AR-15 design, but modified to enhance ergonomics, aiming, and speed of use.  Ideal for close-quarter combat, this firearm tilts the scale towards life for the war-fighter wielding this weapon.

the M4 is a good weapon but the problem with it is that the small parts that piece it together clog to easily creating your weapon to jam, plus it has no stopping power so you have to shoot your enemy multiple times inoder for them to go down

I prefer the G3 as my WOC. It is EXTREMELY accurate, has great stopping power, and can still be used in cq combat. However, for completely urban fights, I’ll take an HK53 any day of the week. Great stopping power, big clip.

Me I preffer the AK-47,or the Chicom Type 56,but I say the M16A2 is better than the M4A1,the M4 is shorter and lighter, but the M16 has smoother fife, which means is more accurate, and I don’t stop at three round burst,it has a full auto, and it’s had just as good of a rep if not better than the M4,but that jus my opinion,if any of you have either 1,and your lookin to sell it,email me,emanzze15@yahoo.com!

If your 11 years old why are you looking at this website? and even for an 11 year old your grammar and spelling is horrible, i can hardly understand what your saying. Not only that but the guns you have mentioned are all probably from video games like call of duty and such. You dont know if you want to serve your country as a soldier yet, there cant be deep thought on a subject like this at 11 years old.

it’s so obvious that most people here are kids younger than 18 who have never fired a wepon before. They just say what they learned from video games. The m4 carbine is a good wepon, it only jamed like 40 times in the 600000 timed they shot it when the u.s. Was looking for a wepon to give there troops. The ak47m, which is a carbine, has good accuracy and stoping power, so it’s a good gun. And I doubt you people could even hiy a target at 50 meters with a gun anyway

Interesting Post. Well do you think a Gun Slinger from the Old West was better skilled with his weapon and a better shooter than a modern M4 wielding soldier?

Food for thought. =)

hey guy who calls himself me like a smartypants! I am 13 and I can hit a small MOVING target at about 30 yards with a 20-gauge. I shoot skeet. Personally i would rather use my trusty 20-gauge (i dont remember what make it is)than an assault rifle. Though, now that I think about it, I’ve never shot a rifle or a pistol, so I can’t say I wouldn’t.

Well …… 9 out of 10. M4A1 has edge in terms of light weight (3 KG approx) …. lesser recoil with or without grip …. better firing and reloading speed and excellent kill rate ….. with many additional attachments.

Howdy would you mind letting me know which web host you’re
using? I’ve loaded your blog in 3 different internet browsers and I must say this
blog loads a lot faster then most. Can you suggest a good web hosting
provider at a fair price? Cheers, I appreciate it!
