Metal Storm
Introducing Metal Storm, a breakthrough technology developed by a company whose namesake bestows the western world with a capability never seen before on the battlefield. Developed by Metal Storm Limited in Australia, the flagship idea of the Metal Storm array of weapons is the concept of stacked projectiles, which eliminate the moving parts of traditional guns. In fact, Metal Storm could be poised to eliminate the classic monicker of “machine gun” because this technology eliminates the moving parts necessary for traditional firing mechanisms.
Likewise, the absense of moving parts is exactly what allows the Metal Storm weapons to theoretically deliver up to 1 million rounds per minute. Also, less maintenance is required to keep the weapon firing, aside from fixing the trigger after overuse from bouts of uncontrollable annihilation. Expectedly, the Metal Storm idea of stacked projectiles has found its way into myriad applications, from area denial systems to missile defense to assault rifles, this technology could prove to revolutionize the battlefield capabilities of western nations fortunate enough to share the common values of innovation, perserverance, and moderation in all things. Indeed, this system has recieved much attention from the US military’s weapons procurement staff, and will likely find its way into all sorts of unexpected and imaginative applications.
Yes it’s aussie made and designed. so don’t mess with us aussie’s.
it may be aussie made but its american funded and owned
hey hey, lets not bicker and argue…i think we all know who the real enemy is.
Yeah, them dang BRITS! We all hate them. The irish, US, Canada, NZ, Aussies….
Although this revolutionary weapon concept is based on an electronically fired gun-and-launcher is designed with multiple rounds and the only moving part is the bullets..will this help settle the dispute with Iraq and Afghanistan. This may be the Pentagon’s newest weapon but are we trying to out due our advisaries in our “Big Gun” or are we trying to intimidate oppose to negotiate..maybe there is no room for negotiation, I am not sure, however, I for one do not want one of my soldiers coming in contact on the recieving end with this advanced technology.
Regardless of who made it, who fund it or who own it, everyone will be in deep sh*t if it falls into the wrong hands. With minimal recoil and high firing rate, “four bullets through one point” (refered to the video clips on Discovery) is bad news for any head of state.
Can you buy the pistol? Is it legal in nevada?
This thing make me proud to be an aussie. It seems venerable to some sort of eletrical disruption though. But, since Hasan the Arab goatherd is unlikely to have the necessary equipment, chargez!
what is the point though? if your firing that many rounds you’ll burn through all your ammo in a second and by placing them one after another in the barrel, the accuracy of the front rounds will be decreased due to the reduced length that is available to guide the round. Anyway that sort of rate of fire is completely unnecessary except for CIWS
that is minblowing but i think is it complet for army but it may be canges for mass ans sape
