This craft is supposed to ride on a cushion of air contained in the rubber skirt. What will happen if the enemy shoots big holes in the rubber? Have these things ever actually been tested in real combat conditions? I know there are advantages to LCAC technology, but in the end, with shells and bullets flying, will they prove too vulnerable?

I have been encouraging the Nunavut and Canadian government departments that the hovercraft would be an excellent vehicle for the patrolling the arctic coastlines, especially, when the Chinese are very interested in Canada's shipping lanes.

What do you think?
