i was wondering the same thing. i agree with dan but i still want one and i was wondering where i could get one and for how much. ooo and i think the scope would be the most expensive part about that gun. i mean have u read up on how it works i mean thats so cool.

Does anybody know where I could get the .408 CheyTac and being a NZ resident weather I could own one in NZ. Also what does the unit come with and what price range would I be looking at for the unit.

So Yall kinda pissed me off there. Most of you are people who think they know about guns, most of you are just pulling shit out of there ass. If u care what guns were in the movie you can just look it up on the net. Now i own many guns, What I dont understand is why you have to own a gun in wich to shoot someone from miles distance. If you do you have some fucked up issues. Now a simple gun such as a R700 will get just about any job done. There is no sense in spending shit tons of money on a gun you will have very little use for. With that said why dont you get a gun worth using. Like said R700. Then there are more options and variants of many others. Personally a .30-06 with a very nice optic will get just about any of Your gun needs. And Im a former Army special Forces sniper and it works good for me. Hell ive fired guns that yall have never even heard of and they don’t even match up to a .30-06. So yall should think about your gun choices and need that are necissary. There is no need for over kill. If ur a well and doubt gun enthusist go for durability, accuracy, easy to manage (clean and operate). The most money ive spent on a gun was a Draganozv/Svd.(Not the Phlimsy barrled PSL, piece of shit) at the cost of $4,000.00. That was shipping and all. He had to cycle the action…..he was firing blanks without an adapter….which dosent facilitate gas to push the bolt back

One problem, when the guy controling the Tri-pod .50 cal sniper rifle, he is aimed at the president, and when whalberg tells the black guy to send in the swat to get the sniper, the sniper changes targets at the last second. Wouldn’t that ruin the windage, elevation adjustments?!?

And what did he bring the M82. . 50 cal to shoot? A Jumbo Jet?

m99 and *m95* are both bolt action not just m99 but the gun is an m107/m82a1a which can be turned into locked action guns, increasing range and accuracy and im not sure but the round he loaded into the m200 looked more like a 50 cal than a .408 and to a good 99% of shooters having an m200 is a waste of money a gun is only as good as its shooter so most guns are equal to an m200 for most ppl

Most of you guys have no idea what you are talking about. The cheytac’s computer does not adjust the crosshairs for you, i would know because i personally own one. The Advaced Ballistic Computer gives you accurate adjustment for you to put into yourself. For example if the target is 6’0 tall and it took up 4 mil dots it caan tell me how far away he is, or if i knew the wind readings all you have to do is type it in tell what kind of bullet it is, what the temperature is etc. and it will give the correct adjustments for your scope.

Guys, we used a real Marine sniper to help us throughout the movie, so everything is accurate unless you think someone who went to sniper school is wrong.

ima get me one of these because im a pro quick scoping freak i can bull up a 15-20 kg sniper and fire when the scope has just reached my eye and some how i havent smashed my fugly face into the scope yet i also dont aim and fir from the hip while im mid air and dont land on my ass because im a pro sniper that doesnt need to agree with laws of gravity or phisics… because im a pro sniper ….aparently

All these posts, some good, some I feel dumber just from reading, and everyone forgot one rifle Walberg used to save Memphis from the Agency. Give up? A .22lr with a coke bottle/cotton makeshift suppressor.

Honestly though, why all the arguing over a movie? When is Hollywood ever right when it comes to firearms? Watch “I Am Legend” with Will Smith once. When the zombies break into his house and he runs out of ammo in his M4, he pulls the trigger and you hear the sear clicking like it’s dropping the hammer about 6 times in half a second. Almost as bad as when you hear people cocking a Glock or similar hammerless pistols on TV and movies, I think that is my biggest pet peeve. Cracks me up though!!

ive seen to people on here that know wth they are talking about the rest of u need to just sit there and read this the cheytac intervention is curently the most leathel sniper system manifactured no you should not buy this gun its expensive bullets are expensive u only one company makes the rounds the bullets are hand turned on a lave a single shot 408 will run u about 7gs not to mention spending about 10$ every time u shoot the gun u can not reload ur own rounds due to the way the bullets are produced and if u want the intervention itself u will need about 12k so good luck with that the gun curently holds the world record for accuracy but o well it is supersonic at twice and a half the distance as the 50. cal if u want to know more just email me snatcheater@live.com

Im sure that its not just the people who have seen shooter that know about this rifle! Millions of people have played the infamous fps game modern warfare 2, and the intervention just happens to be the most popular sniper rifle in that game!
