Russia is not the threat. China is and Russia would be quite willing to supply this aircraft to the Chinese.

The Chinese have the money to mass produce this. We've given them the money.

Alright take it from a tactical aircraft maintainer the 22 is a canceled airframe we don't even use them. The f15c's avionics package out does all other nations aircraft. I can't exactly elaborate but in red flag my fighter squadron has never lost to the 22 squadrons because the 22 is not meant for dog fights. It was discontinued and grounded because they released it too soon without key parts and in flight ops checks. The main reason Russia won't attack us is because this su-37 might be maneuverable but it can't do those fancy tricks with a full pay load. It would literally rip the wing off. The f15's air to air capabilities got the c-model aircraft(76-85) extended thru 2026 the 35 is the only other aircraft that can compete because it is light, fast, maneuverable, and durable and we won't sell it to other countries. It is considered a 6th gem fighter aircraft because it's capabilities

Really, Russia is coming after us! Give me a break. We have states with larger GDP's than Russia, they have no money and what, they want to go to war... Yeah and we need more F22's what for? All the dog fights we get in with the Taliban. This isn't the 80s folks, wake up. I love these planes too but the whole who's got a bigger dick mentality, is just a little simplistic. The US spends more on its military than the next 17 countries combined and 15 of those are our allies. Maybe the US should spend a little more on books...?
Most likely, small very capable drones are the future.

Su -37 is a very nice aircraft indeed. I guess to see if its a match for the F22 would depend on its avionics suite and if it can fully integrate into a battefield scenario. Dont forget whilst the F22 has good stealth capability it is NOT invisible. There are many way to detect an aircraft in flight. IR signature and Radar are just two methods. Military satelites feed real time data from high res cameras these are more than capable of spotting any aircraft in flight and feeding that data directly through to net integrated combat aircraft for interception thus effectively neutralising any current stealth capability. An example of this would be the eurofighter which fully integrates with other battlefield systems and is capable of sending and receiving data from other combat systems for targeting and acqusition. It should also be noted that the missles the F22 uses are not fully stealth and can be picked up by Radar and IR.If you want the most agile fighter plane anywhere in the world look no further than the retired Harrier which could simply stop turn around and shoot you down.

It is very difficult to say that the Su would be better than the F35 or even F22. However they are all great jet fighters, beauties to see fly. If you want a taste of the action of these fighter pilots, enlist for a jet fighter ride in the Mig 29. Supersonic and to the ege of space jet fighter flight

the russian Su 37 aircraft is impressive but nothing our Frr or F35 can handle, definatly the Frr due to its stealth features and equally good if not superior track and targeting technology. plus the F22 wasnt canceled its just the numbers were reduced to a sad 187, but right now we need strike aircraft for than pure fighters, though the F22 is being upgraded for a light bombing role to assists in this regard, the F35 is more valuable as a strike aircraft. that doent mean we dont need the F22 anymore, but we desperatly need it as an air superiority fighter and future upgrades on both aircrafts will keep them reliable assets for years to come. Some time recently i read that a small lazer weapon defence is being designed for use on the F35 to shoot down incoming missles and research into lazer technology is improving and ideas for on sustem small enough to be mounted into an F35is being planed and possibly onto the F22 also. Its like a lazer system combining solid and liquid lazers, taking the advantages of both and minimizing their drawbacks

matt for president!, yes i was very impressed by the su37 manuevors but i must comment on the f22 raptor. this aircraft has radar capabilities that are beyond TOPSECRET. it can track and engage multiple targets autonomos from the duties of the pilot freeing him/her from the task of doing so. it can do everything the su37 can do. the tail vectoring thrust maneuvors were first done by an american fighter. f-18 hornet. the f-16 fighter used speed to overcome it,s lack of manuevorability. during the video, i saw several opertunities to shoot down this fighter. i am a retired american tank crewmember. the t-80 and t-10m were examples of soviet technonlogy in roling armour. however as a loader on the m-60a2 tank, i could effectively put three rounds downrange by the time the soviet tank automatically changed one round. nuff said.

I have to agree with Matt, the F-22 isn't only a superb handling aircraft, it also has stealth and a radar system that is second to NONE! Look at the F-15, not the most maneuverable jet ever produced but it's radar systems have helped it to a unblemished 102 to ZERO combat record!!!!!!!!!!! The Sukhoi shown here probably won't make it to production in our lifetime and the F-22 isn't the only generation 5 (or 6), fighter/attack jet the U.S. and it's allies are currently working on! The F-117 stealth fighter(bomber), was being tested in the early 80's, what do you think is under wraps NOW???

All that this video proves is that it is as maneuverable as the raptor, but the raptor is a stealth fighter equiped with aesa radar a deadly combination wich means the su-35 piolet wont know he's in a fight untill he is in a parachute on the way to the ground.

I believe that our current focus has been on autonomous unmanned fighters. They have already proven themselves. We are speaking about known technologies. If we keep in mind some interesting facts. Unmanned autonomous fighters, hypersonic flight, and sensor fused weapons. It may be all to easy for some arm-chair General to decide to neutralize some threat, less than an hour way anywhere in the world.

Russian couldn't afford it and their officials also noted that they had vast fleets of su27 that are still capable. The Chinese are the only nation that ordered su37, a hundred of them (to be studied and duplicated by shenyang?).

F/A 22 Raptor you say ? If our "New Commander & Chief" gets his way,the FA/22 program is going to be CANCELED due to it's cost. The $$ saved will go to fund yet more IDIOTIC social programs for our "disenfrancised people". With that said, our guy's will be damn lucky to get a Cessna 152 skyhawk with a 12ga.shotgun duck taped on the wing to go up against the SU 37.
In other words , wer'e screwed ......
