If the heat problem can be overcome we could see the day of lowering the amount of soldiers in combat. In this generation of high tech soldiers why not raise their lethality while putting them in less danger. You can effectively eliminate the need for an overwatch a drone over head can watch an area while a team of SWORDS or MAARS provides the firepower setting them to provide coverfire while a human team moves in or another SWORDS team comes in who knows we are all afraid of robots because of Hollywood.
