The Barrett M107 BMG .50 Caliber Sniper Rifle
Manufacturer: Barrett Firearms Company
Considering the physics behind sniper rifle technology, the rule is: the larger the projectile the greater the accuracy and destructive power. Thats why arms manufacturers have recently developed new sniper rifle designs that rapidly fire .50 caliber rounds, which are powerful enough to take out lightly armored vehicles.
A .50 caliber machine gun can typically be found mounted on top of HMMVS and armored vehicles, but Barrett has taken the concept in a different direction: long distance and stealthy destruction. Destruction is an interesting word in itself, which literally implies to take something apart, and with the Barrett’s ability to penetrate steel armor, one can only imagine the effect on a human torso or head. Likewise, the Barrett isn’t the only .50 caliber sniper rifle on the fighting fields, British company Accuracy International recently unveiled its AS50 sniper rifle, which rivals the capabilities of the Barrett M107.
Check out this Barrett M107 video, I believe that it will get the point across.

To Duhhhhh:
It’s all semantics. 7.62mm is the same as .308, the difference is in the case length. An AK rounds case length is 39mm and a standard .308 Winchester is 51mm.
i dont care ,we can all sleep easer knowing our boys are useing theses types os bmfg,
My brother has an Armalite, I have a Barret and I can say it doesn;t take 15 to 20 secs to reload. It will take that long to someone to get their hearing back if the don’t have ear protection
I have fired the m107 and the AS .50, both excellent weapons, the AS.50 feels a little smoother on recoil. both just outstaanding rifles.
I like yanking my weasel to this gun, o oh ohh almost thereeee, annnddd I love you
The host is a former Navy SEAL Scout-Sniper in response to the 3rd comment. You numb nut.

I think the m107 is a totally awesome weapon. If you have opinions maybe you need to tell ronnie barrett. The maker of the m107. He lives down the street from me.
How did ye confuse a .308 with the 7.62 X 39!?!?!?!? a .308 = 7.62X51 DUH!!! lol

i still dont understand how you can have a .50 cal BMG “sniper rifle” if BMG stands for Browning Machine Gun.
the BMG in .50 BMG is just the name of the gun that the bullet was designed for

Dumb video host don’t even know the difference between a 7.62×39 to a .308. I didn’t know that AK started using a .308 round, must be a 2020 model AK
