All I know is that every last one of you motherfuckers needs to learn how to spell and form coherent sentences. None of what you've written is passable as English language. None. Instead of wanking off over a bunch of guns you'll never come within a hundred miles of and can't even be bothered to research for five minutes before spouting bullshit in between bouts of Call of Duty, maybe you should try reading a book or picking up a dictionary.

The AS50 and the M107 are great rifles, but they're designed for anti-armor missions. Therefore, they are not the best sniper weapons, they are also very heavy, making it difficult for a scout, or a sniper thats moving around alot. You would need a much smaller .308 maybe, every sniper weapon is designed for different types of missions.

And Barret is the name of the company that made it, there is more than one Barret.

About the bullpup thing, there are 2 variants of the Barret, there is the m107 (regular) and the Xm500 which is the Bullpup variant, considered by some to be its successor. It looks similar and is also called a Barret hence the confusion.

Except the Xm500 looks better.

the barret xm107 and the as50 the differences are the barret xm107 is a recoil operated semi automatic, the as50 is a gas operated semi auto both semi autos the barret is a not a bullpup this makes it overall longer for the same barrel length, the as50 is not a bullpup so is similar in length to the barret in terms of weight a lighter rifle will actualy make the recoil worse!

i for 1 prefer some of the newer smaller calibers e.g. 408 cheytac and 416 barret they both are a smaller caliber but have less recoil, are more accurate to longer ranges, because of the lower recoil the rifles can be lighter, both hold more kinetic energy than the 50bmg and they have less bulk so more ammunition can be carried the only draw back is they don't have an explosive round yet so on the whole they are way better.

i'm not exacly ur average 6th fom student i do kno my stuff when it comes to guns

Try as much as you want. In my eyes the brits are undesputed champs when it comes to sniperer rifles in both production and ussage. The barret has quite a ways to this gun... Even the SAS used L121A1 or AW50 has a rather good advantage here...

um its quite alot better than a barret due to the fact doesnt take your sholder off and its a semi automatic yer its 1.5 not 1 but for the advantages you gain are worth it. also its alot lighter than a barret because mainly made of titanium basically its in different league to the barret it makes it look old fashioned.

M107 Barrett is not a bullpup rifle....standard 50. cal sniper rifle...the big difference between the weapon is the free floating barrel that the AS50 has. As a matter of fact there are a few 50. Cal sniper rifles out there but the Barret is just the one everyone knows from video games. Oh and just remembered I think the AS50 has a 5 round magazine whereas the Barrett has a 10 round Mag. Another difference...a slight one but still a difference.

Andrew, bullpup design has nothing to do with calibre and everything to do with breech/trigger group positioning.

in this case, it's a standard rifle.

i don't know anything about the XM107, but a bullpup design has the magazine behind the trigger assembly.
