Shaurya missile test fired at the speed of mach 6 …..Is suface to surface missile with a range of 1000-1300km.
And Russia RS-24 is 13+ mach test fired in russia(source wikipedia).So basically it is fastest missile on the planet withICBM capabilities.

whats all this? Some people on this page are saying that there are missile which can even reach speed of 10 or even 20 mach but in fact the fastest missile on earth is brahmos nd someone also mentioned that x 51 could even achive a speed of 13000 to 14000 mph …..dude the escape velocity of earth is 17000 mph so it could literaly climb the edge of r atmosphere………Brahmos is the fastest missile

This is one part of the U.S.’s capabilities… Why on Earth would we want anyone to know what we can do in full? They say, “still in development” or “not in production” but what idiot would not want to make his enemies underestimate him so he could gut them when they least expect it? War is the development of technology, a logistics game, and secrecy. Every country right now has weapons they are not telling the world about and I’m damn sure that the U.S., India, China, Russia, etc., will not go about saying everything they have up their sleeves. This missile is most likely NOT still “in development” and any other weapon some of you have been declaring game changers could be circumvented and obsolete by now. this only works in theory because the most advanced forms of detections can close in on this type of hypersonic missile because of its very high speed it makes it more detectable in infrared. the only way it would work is if after it has travelled hypersonically and reached its booster stage it goes covert slowing down considerably by going slower than the speed of sound by using attached mini hove blades that could make it hover and the descending into the sea and act as a torpedo until it finally gets close to the shore and goes hypersonic again out of the water and strikes the target

X-51 is not a missile.The Boeing X-51 is an unmanned scramjet demonstration aircraft for hypersonic Mach 6. It cannot travel at Mach 10 etc.
